  My father recently had to enter Memory Care after being in Independent Living elsewhere for over ten years. His dementia seems to get worse daily. I am so thankful for the well trained and caring caregivers at Morningside at Vestavia Hills. I am especially blessed to have Janice Foster as his day nurse. He has bonded with her and misses her when she is away. Her no nonsense but compassionate attitude gets us all through his day. She has even negotiated successfully to get him to bathe and patiently calms him when he resorts to curses. She’s a seasoned veteran with decades of experience with mentally ill or otherwise challenging residents. The facility is undergoing renovations which will soon be complete in Memory Care. I have been very pleases with the attitude and helpfulness of all the staff and especially the caregivers.
