  Really disappointing experience for me . I'm a local barber and read up allot on this barber shop specifically due to the rich heritage , and the founding . Stoped in today to see it for myself and was met with cold hard stares , no one even acknowledged me until I turned around to leave .Then one of the Barbers K - Stone hollared at me , and talked with me . He was a really nice guy , and I appreciated his time . Aside from that extremely cold , and unwelcoming environment to me . I hope to see this change for the next man that looks like me walking in . I'm giving it 5 stars to acknowledge the past , and the racial divide that still strongly exists within this city. To say I understand you not welcoming me , and for what the white man has done . I sincerely do apologize and repent of those things , but I long to see reconciliation, and partnership . For younger brothers like me who want to learn from you , and grow together . My heart is grieving over these things , and I pray to God that they will be restored .
