  My HH partner and I walked into Saks to do a little shopping, chatting it up with the sales representative and the conversation went to happy hour and brunch. They mentioned several restaurants around Birmingham and this was in their top 3.
  
  Located in the Colonnade shopping center along with several other eateries, Black Market does not disappoint. We decided to visit them for brunch. Before hand I cruised their website to look at the menu, so when I arrive I knew exactly what I was getting! WRONG! Always ask your server their recommendations, that’s what they are there for! Look around to see what others are enjoying and ask questions!
  
  I ordered their country fried steak, with home fries and biscuits. It was wonderful seasoned and nice and hot! Next time I’m going to get the shrimp and grits, which several people around me ordered and almost licked the plate clean!
  
  The atmosphere is very funky fresh. The walls are decorated with all kinds of posters, signs, and clever sayings. They have a Bloody Mary bar and the mimosas are pretty good too.
  
  P. S. Make sure you read the sign on the jukebox, hilarious!!
